FAMILY SESSION
As lifestyle photographer, sessions with me are a little different than expected. I will start off our sessions grabbing that posed photo for your wall or Christmas card, and move on to using prompts to create a relaxed atmosphere to capture the natural connections of your family. I always go into my sessions with a ‘Go-with-the-flow’ attitude. I shoot whatever the session brings!
Sessions are recommended to be held at sunset to get the best lighting!
Maternity SESSION
Let’s capture your growing belly before it’s too late. Soon enough you will be holding your bundle of love!
Maternity sessions can include family and run about 1-2 hours long!
Newborn SESSION
All of my newborn photos are lifestyle newborn sessions. This simply means the focus is on your natural connections as a family. While I provide posing guidance to capture the prettiest light and settings possible, I don’t physically pose baby or use any props. Instead, my storytelling style allows you to be fully present in the moment, soaking it all in.
A lifestyle newborn session might be right for you if:
- You desire natural, candid moments documented during this sweet season
- You want just a little posing guidance without feel overly posed or staged
- Real, authentic moments that make you feel are high on your list
- You’re seeking a minimalist approach that focuses on connections
- You’re looking for a 1-2 hour photo session. Posed newborn sessions take longer, sometimes up to 3-4 hours to get baby deeply asleep and into each pose
Sessions typically take about an hour-1.5, BUT some go SO well that they can take 45 minutes. I like to take my time and not rush the moments happening.
Galleries are usually out within 7-10 days. However, life happens. During busy season it can take up to 3 weeks to get session galleries out. This does NOT apply to wedding galleries.
I like to start off sessions with the kids getting warmed up BEFORE we even start shooting. I don't normally whip out the camera immediately. It usually takes kids about 10 minutes before they are truly ready for genuine smiles.
of course!! I like to ask a lot of questions to learn your story; what you're looking for in the session/images. Based off your answers, I will recommend a location (if you don't already have one in mind) that I think would be best to tell your story.
