Hi, I’m Emily — the heart behind the lens at Rose Marie Photography.

The name Rose Marie holds a very special place in my heart — it’s a tribute to my two daughters, Rose and Marie. They are the reason I ever picked up a camera in the first place. What started as a way to hold onto the fleeting moments of their childhood has grown into a deep passion for storytelling through photography.

Over time, I’ve fallen completely in love with film photography — the depth, the softness, the honesty of it. There’s something magical about the way film captures light and emotion, and I love bringing that timeless feel to each session.

When I’m not photographing beautiful families, you’ll probably find me curled up with a fantasy novel, getting lost in far-off worlds. Stories have always spoken to me, and I think that’s why photography feels so natural — it’s just another way to tell stories, only this time with light, connection, and emotion.

I genuinely enjoy every session I photograph. Each one is a chance to connect, to create, and to grow. My absolute favorite sessions are those with young families and little ones — there’s so much honesty and energy in those moments. As a mom, I already miss how small my girls used to be, and I know just how precious and fleeting these days are.

My approach is a mix of capturing the big picture — the laughter, the love, the movement — and the small, often overlooked details: a child reaching for their parent’s hand, a quick glance between siblings, wind in someone’s hair. These are the moments that matter.
I want to stop time and save those moments for you.
